Bryan Guderjohn is a seasoned pest control professional and foundational advisor to ATC Thermal, bringing decades of field experience, operational leadership, and industry insight to the development of the Thermification™ process. A veteran of the United States Army, Bryan’s career has been shaped by discipline, precision, and a mission-driven approach to problem solving—principles that continue to influence ATC’s standards and culture today.
With extensive experience across multiple facets of pest management, Bryan played a formative role in establishing the operational rigor and practical mindset that underpin Thermification™. His real-world expertise ensured that the process was grounded not only in theory, but in field-tested reality—safe, effective, and executable under demanding conditions.
As both an industry veteran and a guiding force behind the next generation of leadership at ATC, Bryan’s influence is embedded throughout the organization. Ashley Almony is the strategic architect behind the commercialization and national expansion of the Thermification™ process. While the original concept was conceived in the field, Ashley led its evolution into a fully realized, proprietary remediation platform—complete with structured licensing, formalized training pathways, and scalable operational standards.
As the daughter of industry veteran Brian Guderjohn, Ashley represents the next generation of leadership in professional pest management. Raised within the industry, she combines generational insight with modern program development, intellectual property strategy, and business execution.
Ashley oversees Thermification™ licensing, compliance, partner authorization, and long-term strategic development, ensuring the process is not only scientifically validated, but legally protected and commercially viable at scale. Her work bridges innovation and implementation—transforming field-discovered science into a repeatable, licensable system adopted by professionals nationwide.
She also serves as co-host of the ATC Radio Show, where she brings a strategic and operational perspective to industry discussions, connecting science, execution, and sustainable growth.

Tyler Guderjohn is a highly skilled termite specialist and certified Thermification™ technician, bringing precision, discipline, and deep technical expertise to ATC Thermal and ATC Pest Control operations. With extensive experience in both traditional and advanced remediation methods, Tyler plays a critical role in complex inspections and treatment execution.
As the company’s canine handler, Tyler specializes in K9-assisted detection, combining biological accuracy with advanced field methodology to deliver reliable, defensible results in both termite and bed bug inspections. His dual expertise allows him to bridge detection and treatment seamlessly ensuring findings translate into effective remediation strategies.
The son of industry veteran Bryan Guderjohn, Tyler represents the next generation of professional pest management leadership. Having grown up immersed in the industry, he brings a rare blend of inherited knowledge and modern technical training.

Heat, Perfected by Science

When you choose ATC Thermal, you’re not purchasing a generic heat system—you’re partnering with the team that developed, patented, and field-validated a smarter approach to bed bug remediation. Like most professional pest control companies, we began with the standard heat treatment systems available at the time. They worked—but only if you accepted slow ramp-up times, heavy equipment, electrical strain, and constant compromises as “normal.”

Then COVID hit.

Supply chains collapsed. Critical components were discontinued. We exhausted domestic options and even worked directly with overseas manufacturers in an attempt to source replacement parts—only to learn the parts simply were no longer being made. The industry’s core technology had quietly aged out. Instead of moving forward, the industry moved backward. Electric heat systems became the fallback. They were slow, extremely heavy, punishing on electrical infrastructure, and unreliable in real-world conditions. Breakers tripped. Buildings couldn’t handle the load. Generators were constantly down for repair. Treatments took longer, setups became more demanding, and efficiency suffered across the board.

That’s when the question changed from “How do we make this work?” to “Why are we still doing it this way?” The initial push to rethink the equipment came from Bryan, a lifelong pest control operator who recognized that the tools we were using no longer matched the realities of modern treatment work. But recognizing the problem was only the first step.

Ashley took that idea and carried it forward—breaking down the science, testing real-world applications, rebuilding workflows, and ultimately transforming a concept into a fully engineered system. She bridged field experience with physics, operations with safety, and theory with execution. This wasn’t a lab experiment. This wasn’t a manufacturer’s brainstorm. This was built by a family of professional pest control operators, solving problems they faced every day in the field. We didn’t set out to invent something new. We set out to make the job work the way it should. What followed was a complete rethinking of thermal remediation—how heat moves, how moisture changes outcomes, how equipment should support operators instead of fighting them. The result wasn’t an upgrade to existing technology.
